Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig September. 21, 1983) is a famous American actor. Particularly, she played Shannon Rutherford from ABC's Lost TV series and Kim Mills for the Taken Trilogy. Maggie Grace was born in Worthington from Ohio dropped out of high school and moved to Los Angeles after her divorced parents divorced. It was a struggle to make ends meet and was offered her first part in the acting world as Rachel's Room's leading character. Her portrayal in the role of Martha Moxley, a 15-year-old victim of murder in the T.V. film Murder in Greenwich in 2002, earned her nominations for a Young Artist Award. Grace Rutherford, the character she played in Lost from 2004 to 2005 was selected for an Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace quit the show in 2005 to focus on an even more prominent role in movies, and had a role alongside Tom Welling as Kim Mills in Taken. The actress was on screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club (both 2007) and also starred alongside Liam Neeson as Kim Mills in Taken in 2008. Taken 2 (2012), Taken 3 2014 and Taken 4 (2014) are her re-casts of these role. Grace played Shannon's part as Shannon in Lost for two more episodes. This included the finale of the series. Grace appeared in Californication's 6th season, which aired from 2013 until 2014. The character she plays is Faith who is both a star-gazer and the girl in the group. Gyllenhaal is a part of the family, and is the older sister of Jake Gyllenhaal. As a teenager She appeared in small roles in her father's movies and she co-starred alongside her sister in Donnie Darko, a cult classic. Her subsequent roles included Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind in 2002, as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was praised by critics for her performances as the lead in the erotic romantic comedy Secretary (2002) and the dramatic Sherrybaby (2006) each of which resulted in a Golden Globe Award nomination. The year 2006 was the time she had several commercially successful movies including World Trade Center. However the role she played as Rachel Dawes that brought her more attention with The Dark Knight (2008). Following her acclaimed performance as a mother who is not married of Crazy Heart (2009), she earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Her latest roles included her character as the primary protagonist of the film The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). In 2021 Gyllenhaal made her writing and directing debut in the psychological drama The Lost Daughter for which she won the Venice International Film Festival's Best Screenplay Award and was nominated to win the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
