Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is an Romanian actor and TV host. Her most well-known work is the main character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control as well as Rush. Alexandra was the sole daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. When she was 16, she had already secured a number of TV roles including the lead role in Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. The audience was impressed by her role on Der Tunnel. This paved the way for other unforgettable roles, including Adolf Hitler's secretariat Traudl Junge. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were also nominated for Oscars. Alexandra's career has seen her participate in several important national and international projects. A few of them include the British biographical documentary Control, Greek drama movie The Dust of Time, and the French historical mini-series Napoleon. She has also been an adjudicator at the Transylvania International Film Festival as and the Cannes Film Festival.
