Amal Clooney
Amal Clooney is a barrister from the United States and Lebanon, a human rights advocate and philanthropist. Her birth name is Amal Ramzi Amuddin. A graduate of Oxford University and New York University School of Law her long and accomplished career in the fields of international law and human rights has won her international recognition. Her prominent clients included countries like Armenia who were fighting to recognize the Armenian Genocide in Turkey. Amal Clooney engaged American actor George Clooney to marry him in 2014, and instantly became a household-name in popular media. Before this, she had already been well known within the legal community for her ability to represent clients. The job she has is to represent multinational firms during court hearings and discussions about government regulation, in addition to human rights and social justice. From 2015 onwards, Doughty Street Chambers is situated in London, and she is an attorney.
